Aperture

"It will be like living in an idea."

- Urban Design Panel

Arno Matis Architecture's Aperture development is located along the Cambie Corridor. The structure, much like the 6th and Willow townhouse complex, possesses an architectural presence that welcomely deviates from the standard podium, green glass facade design synonymous with Vancouver's downtown core.

The Cambie Corridor joins the downtown peninsula and the Broadway Corridor as a key strategic area of urbanism. Aperture is representative of the ambitious vision of the transit-oriented Cambie Corridor Plan, where the prevailing typology for its core areas is to be mid-rise buildings (between four and ten storeys) with a unique flair.

The Aperture project, Arno Matis claims, is the next generation of urban planning and design in Vancouver. Here are some of the details of the development:

  • 98,000 sqft.
  • 78 Residential units.
  • Offers both penthouses and villas.
  • Directly across from one of the most prestigious shopping areas in the city.
  • Mid-rise block building.
  • Water gardens and courtyards for privacy and scale.
  • Private roof decks.
  • Reflecting pool.
  • Stratigraphic architectural theme with layering facade frame elements.
